Graymont Co-op strives to be a premier agricultural-based company in our service area. We are currently looking for a driven, energetic, hardworking individual to work in the agronomy department.
Job Description:
- Applies fertilizers and crop protection products to customer fields or growing crops according to recommended rates and procedures.
- Mix fertilizer or chemicals properly to ensure quality standards and accuracy.
- Deliver product as assigned.
- Records application data and maintains all required logs.
- Repairs and maintains equipment as needed.
- Responds to customer inquiries, questions and issues in a timely manner.
- Contact targeted customers and prospects to market seed, plant food, crop protection, and agronomic services that enhance the producer’s goals and profitability.
- Promotes / follows safety practices and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school equivalent.
- Production agriculture experience preferred.
- CDL and Commercial Applicator certification or ability to achieve.
- Must have / maintain a valid driver’s license & be insurable by the company’s carrier.
- Excellent one-on-one sales skills with the ability to form business relations.
- Strong work ethic, proven self starter with the ability to form lasting business relationships.
- Willingness to work beyond normal business hours.
